As indicated in the above frequencies table, there is only one Ethiopian channel on Hot Bird 13° Est, ETV NEWS, on: • 11373 MHz H 27500 Hot Bird 13°E ··· Frequency and polarisation: 11373 MHz Horizontal ··· Symbol Rate and FEC: 27500 kS/s 3/4 ··· Standard and modulation: DVB-S2 8PSK For information Hotbird 6 7A 8 are now Hot Bird 13B 13C 13E. • Hot Bird 6 was renamed Hot Bird 13A in March 2012 and is now out of service. • Hot Bird 7A was moved to 9° Est in 2009 and returned to 13° Est in 2016 as Hot Bird 13E • Hot Bird 8 was renamed Hot Bird 13B in March 2012. • Hot Bird 9 was launched in 2008 and renamed Hot Bird 13C in March 2012. Perhaps your receiver is too old, a DVB-S ≈ SD one. To watch ETV NEWS on Hot Bird 13° East, you need a DVB-S2 ≈ HD receiver.
